Bible reflections - finding light
I love photography as a hobby and I’m continually fascinated by the various ways that a camera can work in recording an image, whether it is on film or on a digital sensor.
For me however, technical prowess in a photograph will always be second to the success of capturing a moment. Because that's what photography is, capturing a moment - a moment of emotion, a moment of beauty, a moment of life – whatever it is that is dear to each of us.
And the common element in all of this is light. Whether it is the faintest dawning of light through the darkness as the morning approaches, or the brightest of light at a family gathering; it is light that makes photography possible.
Taking the photograph that you really love is like finding the light that you really love; and personally, I love trying to find the right light.
Here's something else to think about when trying to find the right light. The Bible tells us that
".... it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ." 2Cor 4v6.
There is a light from God that is found in the Bible, and it has the power to guide everyone through all of the darkness in our lives.
And the way to find it is to read God's word for yourself!
