3 things to do in self isolation

The first is actually a ‘don’t do’. Don’t worry. It changes nothing, but can make you feel worse.

The second. In our ‘normal’ crazy, busy, high speed lives many of us either can’t, or don’t ever slow down. Isolated at home? Take advantage of it to renew, reset. Meditate, read a book, read the Bible. Do the things at home you never have time to do.

The third. If you have faith in God don’t lose it. If you don’t have faith in God think about the state of the world and the bleak future our world seems to be facing in multiple ways. There is something better ahead despite our current sad circumstances. Check out what the Bible has to say. Here are just two examples.

A good way to live:

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

(Philippians 4:6-7, NIV)

A great future foretold:

“He says, ‘Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.’”

(Psalms 46:10, NIV)
