Recently I heard a news story about a man who had served 20 years in jail for murder. A retrial was held, and the jury found him not guilty, so he has been released. Clearly, something was wrong here. Either the man was incorrectly imprisoned for all those years, or our legal system found a loophole to get him off the charges.

I’m sure we’ve all seen or heard about something and thought “That can’t be right!” Thinking about wars or politics or even the basics of life, how often do we feel that something is not fair or not just?

God is going to fix this problem. He is going to send His son Jesus to provide a new and better way for all people to live. This Bible verse is God speaking about what His son will do: “Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end.  He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.” (Isaiah 9:7, NIV)
