Seven reasons to have faith

As we find ourselves here in 2020 in a year that has been full of uncertainty it's more important than ever to remain grounded in your faith.

Whenever you need it, there is a constant source of hope that can be found within the pages of your Bible. I have put together seven verses about faith because as it says in Psalms, “The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my saviour” (Psalm 18:2, NLT) and I feel blessed every day to be able to have faith in a God like that.

“Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see” (Hebrews 11:1, NLT)

“So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ” (Romans 10:17, NLT)

“By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God's command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen” (Hebrews 11:3, NLT)

“For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13, NLT)

“It was by faith that Abraham offered Isaac as a sacrifice when God was testing him. Abraham, who had received God’s promises, was ready to sacrifice his only son, Isaac, even though God had told him ‘Isaac is the son through whom your descendants will be counted’” (Hebrews 11:17-18, NLT)

“Three things will last forever - faith, hope and love - and the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13:13, NLT)

“And it is impossible to please God without faith.  Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6, NLT)
