Angled tree

I’m especially impressed with one particular aspect of trees. Their structural integrity always amazes me and I have blogged about this before.

Recently, I came across an extreme form of structural integrity in a tree; you can see it in the  photograph for this blog. This particular instance is a tree growing at an angle of nearly 45°. It’s right next to a pathway around my local wetlands walking track. One side of the track abuts the wetlands and on the other side there’s a small rise, with a lot of trees on it all the way to the top.  Those trees block the light from reaching the tree next to the path. The tree’s solution to this has been to grow at an angle of around 45° to get to the light. It overshadows the walkway, but the local authorities obviously don’t consider it to be a danger. This is because the tree has the structural integrity to remain standing, even though it is at a 45° angle. I believe that trees were created with this particular ability; to always grow towards the light and yet retain their structural integrity.

God‘s creation, trees and all, is wonderful. Humankind though, seems to be doing its level best to destroy that creation. But we won’t succeed. God won’t allow it.

God tells us what He will allow; what His plans are for this earth and for humankind in His bible.

What do you have to lose by seeing what God says about Himself and us in the bible? Or put another way; there’s everything to gain and nothing to lose. See for yourself.
