The Block

Anyone who has watched ‘The Block’ (Australia), has seen people building ridiculously expensive houses that only millionaires can afford. In the process, we also see the contestants being driven to the brink of exhaustion; making them emotional and ready to snap - all in the name of dramatic television.

How does this make people who can only dream of owning a basic house feel? People who are perhaps struggling to pay the rent each week?

There is clearly an inequity here, which when you think about it, is replicated across the globe. Governments say they are addressing the problem, but nothing seems to change.

There is only one answer. The God of heaven has promised things are going to completely change, and He has the power to make it happen.

“In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and peoples will stream to it…. Everyone will sit under their own vine and under their own fig tree, and no one will make them afraid, for the Lord Almighty has spoken.” Micah 4:1&4 (NIV)
