Challenges

Part of our human nature is that we like to challenge ourselves. This can range from successfully completing the daily crossword, right through to climbing Mt. Everest!

Here’s a quote from AI about life without a challenge: When tasks are too easy or predictable, our dopamine levels drop. Without a balance between our skills and a meaningful challenge—a psychological state known as "flow"—the brain craves novelty, resulting in apathy and disengagement.”

God has issued us with a challenge. He sent Jesus to show us how we should live and asked us to try and do the same. Here’s a snippet from the teachings of Jesus:

“But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven.”  Matthew 5:44-45 (NIV)

It might sound easy when you read it – it’s a lot harder to actually do it! Think about how you feel when somebody does something nasty to you.

So why bother with this challenge? Because all of us face another challenge – we all die. And God has promised if we accept His challenge, then He will enable us to live forever – pain free!

It’s up to you to decide if you want to take it on – all the relevant information is in your Bible.
