Invisible

All of us have been touched one way or another over the last couple of years by COVID-19. Whether you’ve been sick yourself, or had travel plans put off, or had your employment altered etc. the list goes on.

It seems crazy doesn’t it, that something we can’t see, touch, smell, hear or taste has effectively changed the lives of everyone on the planet. There are some who doubt the existence of the virus, but most of us, even though we haven’t seen it, believe it exists.

And we believe it because of the evidence before our eyes. Not only have there been many deaths and many people sick in hospital, but almost every country in the world has sacrificed millions and millions of dollars through lockdowns, border closures, vaccinations, virus tests and protective clothing – to name just a few of the steps taken in this pandemic.

From my perspective, the same is true about God. We can’t see Him, but there is evidence all around us that a master designer has been at work.

The Bible confirms this: “For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see His invisible qualities—His eternal power and divine nature…” (Romans 1:20, NLT)

Obviously, I’m aware that the theory of evolution is used to explain our existence and so, if you don’t want to believe in God, you don’t have to.

If, on the other hand, you look around like I do, and think, “how could all this have possibly happened by chance?” then it’s well worth having a good look at God’s Word, the Bible.

It not only explains how it was done, but WHY it was done.

And what God has in store for us is really exciting!
