Trust

When a parent tells their young son or daughter, “We’re going on a holiday!” how do they react? Do they ask a series of questions like, “Has the car been serviced?” or “What route are we taking?” or “Is the accommodation suitable?” Or are they just simply excited about going on a holiday?

Jesus spoke to his disciples about little children this way: “…Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children. I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.” (Luke 18:16-17, NLT)

God has promised us wonderful things, but He needs us to trust that it’s true – just like a child. Our world has become very complex and cynical, encouraging us to trust only ourselves. If you want to find a more simple, hopeful life, it’s worth reading your bible. God’s offer is open to us all if we can just trust in Him.
