God's power and care
Many Christadephians follow a Bible reading plan which gets us through the whole Bible each year, including the Old Testament once and the New Testament twice.
On March 21 this readings plan includes Psalm 147 and Luke 12. I was especially interested in one passage from each.
Psalm 147:4 says “He counts the stars and calls them all by name.” (NLT)
Humankind can’t even see all the stars let alone count and name them! If God can do this, His power and abilities are totally beyond our comprehension. God is so far above us and yet ...
Consider these words from Jesus recorded in the New Testament which show just how very much God cares for us, with of course the underlying proviso that we do our best to care about Him! Consider these words especially when you feel down.
Then, turning to his disciples, Jesus said, “That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food to eat or enough clothes to wear. For life is more than food, and your body more than clothing. Look at the ravens. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for God feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than any birds! Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? And if worry can’t accomplish a little thing like that, what’s the use of worrying over bigger things?’ (Luke 12:22-26 NLT)
There’s so much to know about God. He has plans for all of us and for this planet - plans which are all laid out in His Bible for us to read anytime!
