Surveillance
This is a photo of a surveillance camera in London. Evidently London is one of the most densely surveilled cities in the world, with cameras everywhere. Like all technology this surveillance has its good and bad sides.

Many people find the concept of surveillance on this scale as quite intrusive. Or worse. Orwellian, big brother at work.
But this blog is not about the good or bad points of such surveillance.
This photo reminds me that there is another type of surveillance which is even more pervasive. Consider these verses:
“For the LORD sees clearly what a man does, examining every path he takes.” Proverbs 5:21 (NLT)
“Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable.” Hebrews 4:13 (NLT)
There is a huge distinction between these two types of surveillance. The motives of those who monitor the cameras are open to question. The motives of Almighty God are not!
God wants everyone He sees to accept Him and to be a permanent part of the future He has planned for this earth. The detail of these plans and the invitation to be part of it is laid out in the Bible for anyone to read and act upon.
