Is there anything that God can't do?
This may be a strange question for a believer to consider and your thoughts might be different from mine. I can think of two things and one of them involves us directly. The first is that God cannot be in the presence of sin which is why Jesus is a mediator for us.
The second which I want to consider further is that God can’t make us love Him. Well He could but then we wouldn’t have free will and the world would be populated by robots. God created us with Free will, with the ability to make choices, both good and bad. The first two human beings, Adam and Eve made a bad choice eating the forbidden fruit. Ever since then humankind has lived and died as a result of the mortality we all inherited from them.
As Mark 16:20 (NIV) says: “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.” Being baptised is the first choice which we can make to please God; to love Him because He has loved us. He has created this process starting with belief and baptism which can enable us to overcome the effects of mortality and become perfect creatures. His aim is to populate this earth with such perfection. His son Jesus will soon return to start this process of perfecting the earth and everything in it.
We have a wonderful opportunity to be a permanent part of this process of healing and perfecting the earth. The details are in God‘s Bible along with so much more information for us in this life and the potential life beyond the flawed existence we have now.
