Three things I'm grateful for

The first thing is my life. At its most basic level it depends on each breath. Each breath is, in effect, a gift from God. The Bible tells us “If it were his intention and he withdrew his spirit and breath, all humanity would perish together and mankind would return to the dust.”          (Job 34:14-15 NIV)

The second thing is my relationships. Relationships with my partner, my family, and my friends, and which largely include my fellow believers in God too. This is what I call fellowship.

And the third thing is hope. Mainly the hope of a perfect eternal life in a perfect eternal world at one with my God and my fellow believers. That’s God’s plan for this world and I firmly believe it is coming because that is what He has said. So I wait in hope for His word to be fulfilled. “Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.”  (Psalm 62:5-6 NIV)

All this and more is in His Bible freely available to you and to me.
